Assumed Grant File

Insertions and Modifications
If the Optionee ID field has a value, the system will interrogate the Optionee table. If no Optionee is found with that Optionee ID then a row will be added to the Optionee table with that Optionee ID but no attribute information.
If there is more than one record in the Assumed Grant File with the same Grant ID, the system will assume that the last record is supposed to update the previous record(s). The previous record(s) will be lost and no validation error will be reported.
The deletion of an Assumed grant not only removes the grant information from the Grant file, but also removes all other data in Option Navigator associated with that grant. The one exception is that if an Optionee is referenced in the Grant, that Optionee row is not removed. It is perfectly acceptable to have an Optionee in the database without any assigned grants.
To delete an Assumed grant, the user will add a record into an uploadable Assumed Grant file that contains only the Grant ID. Deletion records can be in the same file as insert and update records.
If the referenced GrantID is not an assumed grant, an error should be reported.
